I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Providence, RI) in Jul 2020
Interview
Interview was via zoom, during Covid, and went seamlessly. Interviewer was professional and put me at ease. The interview lasted a little less than 30 minutes. We spent time discussing the role and what would be expected if I was offered the position. We also discussed my background and education.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Dallas, TX) in May 2022
Interview
It was excellent. My interviewer was kind and did not make me feel stressed throughout the interview process. It was a very detailed interview so having answers prepared is really important.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Cary, NC) in Apr 2022
Interview
The actual interview process went great. I was offered the position, received the signed offer, fingerprinting, drug test all before the background check was complete.
The background process seemed flawless, and I was approached with four inquiries about my credit, and eventually another with previous position (they requested a copy of the offer letter from ten years ago...which I was able to produce amazingly..who keeps those)
Finally, I received the Welcome to Fidelity Email with video. I received the getting started with WorkDay, User name and password, start date.... And then, I as I am trying to discover where I show up for training, or will it be remote, (9 days before the start date at this point, and had given my notice to my employer upon receiving the Welcome to Fidelity) I received a phone call that the the background check came back and they were rescending the offer. I could not believe it. As it turned out, all the information I was supplying to Background, was not getting delivered to the one who decides, and it appeared I was not being cooperative. No accountability for the background firm, and Fidelity is just spinning their wheels. Very unimpressive.
The whole ordeal created a negative for what could have been an awesome experience. Fidelity lost out on an awesome employee match. They have ALL your information and know everything about your life, with no desire to work for the company. Very invasive feeling that ended up in denial. Would not recommend to anyone, except a fresh high schooler, as everyone I know has experienced life.
