I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Durham, NC) in Feb 2011
Interview
Hiring process started with contact from a recruiter. She sent me an e-mail describing the LEAP program and asked if I wanted to hear more information. After that we scheduled a phone interview which consisted of a program overview, resume review, and a technical screening. The technical questions were simple and revolved around basic Java and Object Oriented questions. I was then scheduled for a series of three on site interviews. Each of these lasted 30 minutes each, and were one on one. Interviewed with a director, VP, and technical manager. The first two were behavioral and the last one was a technical. Behavioral questions were about leadership and teamwork experience. Technical interview again primarily focused around Java and OO concepts. However, the interviewer structured it around my resume and asked which topics I felt most comfortable with. Best advice is to be honest and confident, and know your resume. A review of OO concepts and SQL programming would also be beneficial.
