I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Google
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me via linkedin
First was a recruiter phone call, going through my resume no technical questions
Then I got booked for a hangout interview with a member of the team. He was very nice. The interview turned out well. Be prepared for DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, linux/Unix troubleshooting, code debugging, technical troubleshooting
I cleared this stage and I was booked for onsite which was 3 back to backs 45 min each hangouts. I was asked to code on one of them. Medium leetcode knowledge is acceptable. Technical troubleshooting interview was very ambiguous, but you'll pass this if you explain your way of thinking. Manager interview was the easiest, I was asked behavioral questions only.

Interview
I had an initial call with the recruiter, whom was really friendly and nice! He explained the process for moving forward.
I had an initial interview based on a technical screening regarding Networking routing & switching
After passing the interview, I was invited to the onsite interviews which consisted of 3 rounds.
My results were mitigated according to the recruiter, so they added 2 additional interviews, I aced the technical interview which consisted of Role knowledge as well as Troubleshooting skills, unfortunately I failed the Googliness and leadership, they said that I passed all of the requirements except one which led to my rejection.
The whole process took about 3 months and it was very stressful and disapointing in the end. They invited me to reapply in 6 months.
Interview has 3 steps - screening, technical interview, and on-site interview. The last one being 3-4 rounds of interviews. Overall the interview process is challenging, however there are a lot of resources that can help you prepare
