Had chats with the recruiter and hiring manager. The interviews were more like conversations than typical job interview questions to assess skills and knowledge. They later called to say that I didn't my background did not much what they were looking for.
I applied online. I interviewed at Google (California, MD) in Mar 2023
Interview
It was a very long interview with a panel of 5.
After the 1st phase, I was given 30 minutes before the second phase started. It was mostly task oriented.
Initial Screening: The recruiter called and we discussed my role compatibility amongst other things
Phone Interview: This involved discourse on product management fundamentals and hypothetical scenarios (to test my ability to think on my feet I guess lol).
On-site Rounds: The on-site was a mix of case studies, problem-solving, and behavioural questions. I won’t lie, this part was tough. If I didn’t use product alliance prep it might have been tougher. I also did mock interviews with anyone who would help me.
