phone call, didn't even know it was interview until at the end of the call. it was casual and easy to talk. i had a second round interview at the boston office though
I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2019
Interview
I first applied through my college's job portal. Three weeks later I got asked to do a 20 minute phone screening with a current intern figuring out general interest/compatibility. Next I did a 30 minute video interview with an audit partner and got to learn more about their experience with the firm. Even though it was a video interview I felt very welcomed and they were interested in hearing about my life experiences and how I got to where I am today. After two days I got invited for a formal office visit that consisted of two back-to-back 30 minute interviews with audit partners, followed by a brief office tour. Both partners were more interest in having a conversation than asking typical interview questions. Just try to be yourself and ask lots of questions! Heard back the next day and accepted the position. Overall a very positive experience, all the staff I spoke with were incredibly professional yet friendly.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to meet a tight deadline with a team.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (State College, PA) in Jul 2018
Interview
Two on campus interviews. Both very behavioral and overall was an easy process. Heard within two weeks of the initial interview. I would recommend this experience to other on campus hires.
