I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Southfield, MI) in Oct 2015
Interview
Met GT at a career fair. A few weeks later they emailed me to set up a phone interview, it went well and a few hours after they called and said they would like to bring me into the office. Two weeks after the phone interview we had a candidate dinner, then the next morning the in-office interview. A few hours after the in-office interview they called me with an offer. Very easy process, great people, and enjoyable.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic questions about my resume, no behavioral questions. Just pretty much a conversation in both of my in-office interviews getting to know each other.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Boston, MA) in Oct 2015
Interview
Mainly behavioral questions, the interviewers are generally focused on trying to have a conversation with you. Attended the pre-night event before the interview, found that very helpful because I was able to meet the people interviewing me, establish a connection before the interview, and got to know more about them on a personal level.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Chicago, IL)
Interview
The interview process started with school interviews, dinner and then office visit. Two sets of interview at school, once they would screen you and then invite you for a dinner where we would socialize with the partner level employees. And then one will have the official office visit, where one would meet the higher management to get an insight of the firm, followed by more interviews with the tax department managers, go out for lunch and then more group meetings to understand the business.
