I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Honeywell (Colorado Springs, CO) in Nov 2010
Interview
Received a phone call from the Department Manager. He did a brief interview based solely on my resume, then set up an in office interview. The inperson interview consisted of the manager and two supervisors. Most of the questions were about my previous experience. After the interview the manger took me on a facility tour and introduced me to a number of people. After the tour, we sat down and discussed salary...I may have been a bit hard-nosed, but it seemed we came to a mutual agreement after some negotiating. It seemed at that point he was about to extend an offer, however he told me he would give a call later that day if they decided to bring me on. The interview was scheduled to be 45 minutes..and after I spent three hours with the manger I left feeling I had a new job. However, as the day wore on and the phone never rang my confidence started to subside. I did not receive a call so the next business day I called the manger just to check on the status. he answered the phone right away and informed me he was in a meeting and would call me back. I did not receive a callback and every other call I attempted went unanswered. I don't have a problem with them selecting a different candidate, but he could of been man enough to just tell me!?!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of the supervisors asked me what LOTO meant. I said I wasn't sure what that acronym was referring to, and even the manager looked puzzled...When they said it was Lock-out, Tag-out I immediately explained what the term entailed but they still seemed upset I had no idea what they were referring to with the acronym.
