I was interviewed at Honeywell (Bangalore, India) in June 2018 for a senior engineer role having C++ skill. The process took 2 days.
There were 3 rounds. First was a case study round. Second technical. Third HR round.
In the first round, I was given a case study about primary and secondary displays in cockpit, their communication with the ground machines. There were questions around the study, mostly architecture and design related.
The interviewer also asked his own questions to judge what did I get from the case study. How can I implement and improve some things. Communication protocol, failure modes, etc.
This went on for about an hour.
Then he moved on to discuss new technologies that I'm aware about and what's my take on them. "What's happening in the IT industry?" - this was his question.
He wanted to understand whether I'm aware about the new skills and techs that are going on. He also asked me the latest news that I've heard about any new technology, which thankfully, I did and I explained the documentary that I had watched.
Then he moved on to technical questions - some common C++ questions and made me write 2-3 simple programs.
The HR round happened next day. I was informed the same day that I'm selected for the role.
