I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Human Rights Watch (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2013
Interview
They were particularly interested in the 'why' - why Human Rights Watch, why human rights, etc. They were willing to find a role for me if they wanted me, they were not looking for a particular job description or anything. It was just a phone interview, not very challenging. I had my option of working in SF or NYC. Other interns in the office working for other departments had similar experiences I believe.
