Very thorough and detail-oriented, make sure you know to tell your stories and convince that you have the relevant skills and want to be part of a dynamic team, not just repeating your resume.
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Human Rights Watch (Washington, DC) in Jan 2016
Interview
Applied for the position, and a hiring manager asked me my salary requirement two weeks later since I submitted my application. Three weeks later, I received an email to record video interview with 10 questions, and I got an email to have a second interview three days later. The second interview was with two hiring manager through video conference. It was scheduled for 30 minutes, but we talked over an hour eventually. They asked a lot of questions about my qualifications, skills and experiences, related to the position. They did not get back to me for two weeks after the interview, and I sent them a follow-up email. The next day, one of hiring managers called me that I was not accepted because I do not have visa in the country where the job based. But, I was very glad she called me from UK, and explained why I was not moving forward.
