I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Human Rights Watch
Interview
The initial interview was done virtually, on video, through a computer platform. It was a little awkward answering questions to a computer screen within a set time limit. The next stage was a group interview with a team of professionals. They were very collegial and warm, and asked thorough, substantive questions about past experience with key parts of the job.

applied online
automated first interview, with 10 seconds thinking time and 1 minute response time, easy test (memo on human rights situation in a given country, drafting emails, editing, formatting and proofing), an in-person interview of approx an hour

Question 1
situational questions, motivation for applying for the job
I was asked to submit my interview via a recording platform. There is also an option to practice your interview, however practice mode is different from what the actual interview was
like. Months had gone by and I kept following up, but I unfortunately never heard back. Quite the shame, as I spent a lot of time prepping and would’ve appreciated at least an automated email informing me that I did not make it to the next round.
