I applied through college or university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Atlanta, GA) in Sep 2013
Interview
Campus Recruiting (Georgia Tech) three 30 minute interviews back to back to back. Two behavioral and one case study.
Side Note:
Once you join IBM, you get the opportunity to be a greeter at the interview. They rank you based on how well the others did. they pick 2-3 top performers and give offers to right away. 2-3 are debatable so they go back to other hiring managers to decide. Another 2-3 are not given offers.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at IBM (New York, NY) in Sep 2015
Interview
Submitted my application online, and then forgot about it. One day I got a call from IBM internal recruiter introdcing a position which was not what I applied for initially. After the initial screening with the recruiter, I had a phone interview with one of the manager. After the phone interview, I was invited for an onsite interview. The scheduling of travel and lodging is smooth and painless. The onsite interview process is actually quite usual, except a few schedule changes.
