I applied online. I interviewed at International Rescue Committee (New York, NY) in Jan 2017
Interview
I heard back after applying on their site in about 2+weeks. The recruiter was very friendly and made me feel comfortable and gave me time to explain myself and listen. Was offered on the spot and I have my date to start.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at International Rescue Committee
Interview
The process was unprofessional. The woman with whom I was allegedly supposed to interview turned out to be out of the office. I was initially interviewed for the wrong position. When I clarified what I was interviewing for, IRC managed to find two people from the right department to speak with me. The two then proceeded to read five questions from a piece of paper, two of which were yes or no questions. The interview process was a red flag.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at International Rescue Committee (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2015
Interview
The interview was very conversational and mainly to ensure I understood the privacy requirements of working with vulnerable individuals and ensuring my passion for the area was there. I interviewed with the program manager of my division, and he was incredibly personable and welcoming. I knew I wanted to intern here from my interactions with the employees at my interview.
