I applied on line for the position. I got a phone call the same day to arrange a face to face interview. Interview was a few days after and had all the regular first interview questions. Why this company, why this position, what do you know about the department. The interviewer was not HR but a member of the team, supervisor of entry level associates. Overall experience was a little stressful, the interviewer did not try to relax the atmosphere. Questions were the same for all applicants and they were looking for specific answers, specific profile and “passion” for the products (cash management and treasury product). The website has all the necessary details to learn the products.
I had IB experience and it seem I was overqualified for the position and the worst question was “With all your experience in capital markets, don’t you find this position to be a downgrade for you?”. It was not, I like the company and I was looking for a position in sales.
They have called me a week after to let me know that I haven’t got the position.
Generally speaking, the entire process was very professional but a little on the “stiff” side.
