I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Johnson Controls
Interview
Had a generic talk with someone from HR. Asking about culture, personality, and work history. I was told that a week later I would be contacted to know if I would do another interview with hiring manager or if they werent interested in me. I was never contacted.
I applied online. I interviewed at Johnson Controls
Interview
I was interviewed by phone, twice, for two different positions. Both interviews were for positions that were about as near to a perfect fit as it gets, with respect my qualifications. In each case, after a polite, and fairly routine interview, I waited approximately three weeks, only to receive an emailed form letter response, which gave no idea why I was not hired, and no means by which to ask.
Even taking into consideration that theirs is a large organization, I find that their hiring process is unnecessarily impersonal, out of touch, and bureaucratic. That leads me to believe that they are likely not identifying and hiring the best people, and that employment there is not something I really want after all. I will not be applying at Johnson Controls again.
