I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at KPMG (Londres, Inglaterra) in Oct 2013
Interview
Psychometric tests need to be completed to get through to telephone interview stage. At the telephone interview it is predominantly competency based questions, with some questions about the company and who their competitors are. At the assessment centre there are several phases. You need to be able to do the psychometric tests again, then you have a case study to review and emails to respond to accordingly. There is no preparation you can do for this as each case is different. Then you have a role play with a client and you need to be able to spot different services they can offer them and recommend accordingly.
Quite a quick process from application to offer. Completed the standard online assessments and was invited for interviews shortly after. The launchpad (assessment centre) was a bit overwhelming but everyone was so chill and there was a lot of time to talk to other candidates and current KPMG employees. I had my offer two working days later.
Very straightforward interview with two people. A lot of questions in relation to tax law and tax regulations. They also asked several scenario-based questions to assess problem-solving skills and how I would apply tax principles in practical situations. The interview was professional and conversational, with opportunities to discuss previous experience and explain technical knowledge in detail. Overall, the process felt well-structured and focused on evaluating both technical expertise and communication skills.
I got a phone call with an invite to the interview. It was in person in their offices. It was intense, quite short about 20 minutes, and I was asked more questions about academics/school than I expected.
