Kaiser has several roles with the same job title but at different seniority levels. I had applied to a role only to receive an automated email informing me that I didn't have the right skills for that role. I then applied to a role at a less senior level and received a reply for an interview. The meeting seemed to go well but at the end of our time, I was asked why I didn't apply to their senior level role. Then I was told they were still interviewing and will get back to me. It's been 8 weeks and the only update I have received is that they are still interviewing candidates. It seems disorganized if their screening system screens out qualified applicants and then don't consider moving forward when they actually meet someone for a role they are more than capable of doing.

Question 1
Why didn't you apply for our more senior role? You're more than qualified.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Pleasanton, CA) in Mar 2024
Interview
Interviewed with the hiring manager. Then had a panel interview with the hiring manager and 3 of their peers. Subsequently, 'Meet and Greet' with leaders from the hiring manager's team. This was over a 3 month period and I was finally told they were looking for someone with prior healthcare experience.
I'm rating it negative because it took MONTHS and then I was given a reason that was known right from the beginning. Every interaction was pleasant and positive.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Woodland Hills, CA) in Jul 2024
Interview
If you are applying for a bilingual position be prepared to take a few assessments beforehand. The final interview is titled Meet and Greet, you hand them your resume and they take you around their call center and hospital. Everyone was very nice, but very informal in a group setting.
