I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente in Jul 2010
Interview
I moved within the company and I was contemplating about transferring to another department because the department I was in was undergoing some major changes. It was chaotic and workloads were heavy. Within an hour of posting my application, I received a call from the manager for an interview appointment in 3 days. The entire interview took an hour. The interviewer was very thorough going over my the details of my skill set, knowledge, and experience with my former departments within the company. At the end of the interview, she said she needed to think about who she would like to choose and deliberate with senior leadership over the next 2 days. She shared with me that there were 11 other applicants who interviewed, but she will choose the candidate who had not only the most skills, knowledge, and good interpersonal skills, but the one who would be more stable and committed in the position, not someone who wanted to job hop to get their foot in the door for a specific location.

Question 1
Why should we choose you over someone with more experience, background, and education?
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente in Feb 2009
Interview
It took almost 4 months from start to finish. There was a screening interview, 2 interviews with my would be manager, 3 interviews with individuals I would be supporting, and finally a panel interview that tested my skills.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Pasadena, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
This process was the most exasperating that I have ever had with any company! I interviewed for 6 (yes 6) various assistant and 2 project managment positions with 4 different departments! I made it to the final selection process twice, each time they chose an internal candidate. It was exhausting, and apparently the departments did not notify the recruiter in their HR department that they selected an internal candidate. I finally moved on and just registered with an executive search firm where I landed a temp to permanent position in healthcare.
