The whole process was relatively quick. Application and tests are quite typical, nothing special.
Phone interview is purely competency based. Tell me about a time when you showed... Why MS, why operations.
AC was only 3,5 hours and very casual. MS booked me a nice hotel and paid for the trip. Everyone's very nice and the London Office is amazing, although it might be a bit difficult to find as there's no sign saying MS outside.
AC started with a group exercise. Again, standard text book stuff. Had a budget, 30 minutes. Everyone had their priorities what to include in the budget. Half way through they gave us new information. Contribute, don't dominate, listen, ask questions, keep time, tell others to move on if short of time.
Then there was a short networking session with 3 guys on industrial placement. Gave a good insight.
Finally, 2 interviews. If you felt good with the phone interview, these will make you feel even better, since they are exactly the same type of questions. Maybe additionally something about regulations.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2014
Interview
I applied using Morgan Stanley's online application. They required CV, Cover Letter + some questions. I heard back from them in a week, and I was invited for a telephone interview. Fairly basic questions (why OP, why Morgan Stanley), mostly competency based questions (they require you to use examples). After that, they invited me to an Assessment centre.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Glasgow, Escocia) in Jan 2014
Interview
CV and Cover Letter, Numerical and Verbal Reasoning Online tests, 35 min Competency based Interview, Full day Assessment Center with a group exercise and multiple interviews
After passing the online stage I got a phone call to book a Competency based Interview. I was sick during the phone interview but the Operations Analyst that interview me was very friendly and compassionate to my occasional coughing. The interview went great and 2 weeks after I got invited to an Assessment Center. I was away for a study exchange, so the company covered my travel expenses. During the Assessment Center they showed us around the buildings and split the applicants into 2 groups. My group did the team exercise first, we received 4 scenarios in advance and were allocated one of them on the spot. Informal socializing time followed and the day was completed by 2 interviews of 2 staff member each, from different departments of the firm.
