I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NHS (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
This was a Face to Face interview open to practicing clinicians from within my profession. Fewer than 10 candidates applied for a single post within the department. A panel of three interviewers included the department head, an operational manager and head of human resources.
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at NHS (High Wycombe, England) in Jan 2017
Interview
One interview of Panel of 3 but only 2 showed up. Greeted by lead nurse, lovely lady, then the Manager greeted me who came across as not wanting to be there. Told me to do a test, not mentioned before the interview so could not prepare. Phone would ring during the test of which you had to answer and deal with call. Rang on 3 occasions. Test was reading a script and them questions on it. Patient coding questions. This was followed on by an hour of alternate questions by the panel. The manager showed no enthusiasm, clearly she did not want to be there. She was putting me off of the role but she was based in another hospital so I thought I could tolerate her the few times our paths would cross. Interview was approx. 1hr 15min.
