I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NHS (Sunderland, North East England, England) in Jul 2025
Interview
Mental Health Admin/Receptionist - Monkwearmouth Hospital. It was a 30 minute interview - it felt rushed. Their verbal nods gave me the feel of "ok hurry up" - but answering an interview question with the STAR format isn't that quick. They had around 4-6 questions. I have only just found this site so I am trying to remember the best I can.

Question 1
scenario question - you're on reception, there is a patient walked in, phone is ringing constantly and is consultant asking you to book them a room, how do you manage this?
It was a 3 panel interview and asked 3 questions about teamworking and lab safety. Did not ask questions about my skills. Was put on a waiting list and a few months later received a job offer.

Interview
Everyone was kind and friendly. The interview felt more like an informal chat. Asked around 4 questions. I was interviewed by 3 people which was a little daunting but like I said everyone was lovely and one of the people was there to take notes of answers.
