I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex (Louisville, KY)
Interview
Contacted by an external recruiter because they were impressed with my resume on LinkedIn. Talked to President of recruiting company and scheduled face to face interview for following week. Met with regional vice president. He was very personable and professional. A lot of the interview was jelly-beaning. Asked 3-4 questions to see what my philosophy was on sales, leading a team, etc.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2013
Interview
I went through the initial phone screening, first round interview, testing, and in-the-field ride-with. The testing included an on-site math test as well as some qualitative online testing. Unfortunately, there was no indication of where a tentative territory would be, as the branch had gone through some recent restructuring within the team.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Paychex (Saint Petersburg, FL) in Dec 2013
Interview
Standard interview questions about customer service skills and experiences. There was the hiring manager and a lead taking notes. They specifically wanted to know how I handled situations, not necessarily the politically correct answer
