I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Paychex in Jun 2011
Interview
I initially interviewed for a position in another city where they chose a person who was already licensed to sell insurance products.
They called me back to interview for a Benefits sales job in a different location.
In both instances the Sales Executives who interviewed me had not even looked at the very long application which I had filled out in advance of our meeting. That was fine. Sometimes the ultimate person making the decision might want to start the ball rolling from scratch.
The line of interview questions were all geared towards a 22 year old coming right out of college. They asked me my GPA, what activities I pursued in college, etc. I graduated from college back in the 80's.
I shut down after the first 5 minutes and obviously did not get a call back. This was not an entry level position. I am not sure if this company is interested in hiring anyone over the age of 30.

Question 1
My GPA and Activities and Societies that I participated in college?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex in Jan 2012
Interview
I prescreened with a recruiter and he was able to arrange a one on one interview for me. The interview was scheduled a few weeks out but it was during the holidays so I'm not sure if this is typical. They sent me quite a lot of paperwork to complete beforehand. The interview was early in the morning and the first thing they did was give me a timed math test. It was very SAT in nature and you had 16 minutes to finish as many questions as possible. Then they gave the personality assessment which was the common "choose which word is most/least like you." The interview itself was average to slightly difficult. He asked me questions about how I would handle certain sales scenarios, what I thought their greatest obstacles were, etc. I left with a good feeling but did not receive an offer. I think it was due to lack of experience in compliance.

Question 1
Would you rather have sales support setting your appointments or handling the after sale paperwork?

Interview
Took some math test then was asked a few questions. The interviewer seemed like he was in a hurry the whole time. Did not want the job anyways just wanted to see what it was about. Matched up to the negative reviews this place gets on the web. No wonder they need to go through staffing agencies
