Interview
Recruiter reached out then scheduled a screening, The next step was an interview on site. The interview was pretty standard with a friendly hiring manager. Ended with a promise of a response by the end of the week. Never received a response.
I applied online. I interviewed at Paychex (Rochester, NY)
Interview
First interview was with a recruiter. Second interview was with a sales manager who ghosted me after I sent them my assigned project. Zero response. It's my opinion that they are looking for sales people who will submit to them and allow themselves to be managed by fear and pressure. This isn't the 1990's anymore. I wasn't going to take on that quality of work life and they responded accordingly with no response. Very used car vibes. Steer clear and save your dignity.

Question 1
Are you willing to do everything I tell you to do?
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex (New York, NY) in Mar 2024
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter for this position . They explained the role and the recruiter thought I was good fit for the role. I have a business development background with fortune 500 companies at the enterprise level and experience with Start-up in the SMB market in Fintech and SEO /SEM marketing . I was well prepared for the interview. I was forwarded onto the hiring manager . It was explained that the interview process would be 5 steps . A pitch to the hiring manager and a final interview with the director of the division of SMB NYC.After a decision would be made. Fair enough, I was for warned I did very well at each step through all phases. I received a call saying that although I had successfully did well at all of the five steps . They now wanted to add an additional 6th step. A ride along with a newer employe that they deemed a " rising star" that has been with the company for a short period ( Less than a year ) . During the 5 steps I did a ride along with a Sr. Seller who had been there for 5 years . Great guy more of a training than just a ride along. None of this was sent in writing the hiring manager left message to just call him back..... . Then tried to explain backtracking on his previous expectations that he set up. ( red flag.... do you do this with your clients ? ) Something does not sit well with me. Why does my interview process have extra steps ? If I'm not a fit I'm not a fit you send an email from HR saying a. "We are looking for people with a certain skill set" ,,,,,While we value your talent we are going with other candidates we feel are more suited to our business model . We all get them from time to time....This seems like something more is at play here, But it showed lack of professionalism and bad management skills ..... Time wasting at best , not worth the trouble of three weeks and 16 hours of my life .
