Interview
I was contacted by the HR recruiter for a phone screening interview. She asked questions about skills, experience and salary expectations. It was about 20 minutes. She contacted me later the same day to schedule a meet and greet with the hiring manager. That was by phone as well. She asked to walk through resume and talked about her background and the job. I was then contacted again by HR to schedule a formal video interview with hiring manager. This time she asked more situational questions, and personality type questions.

Interview
Had a phone interview with a recruiter that I feel was subpar and the recruiter needs additional training. A few takeaways: - It was obvious that the recruiter was reading from a question template and did not read my resume because the basic questions asked were answered by reading my resume: do you have a degree? Not only is it on my resume but it was an application question. - Recruiter should not read job description word for word, I have an MBA and read the JD when applying, not value added. - Asked the recruiter what the product would be that this PO would be working on, recruiter could not answer and referred to the JD. - Asked for clarification on question such as what is my experience in negotiations? My clarifying question was: Who is this negotiations with: Stakeholders, vendors, etc.? Recruiter couldn't expand on this. - At no time did the recruiter explain Paychex product offerings, culture or vision nor any employee benefits. Feels like the recruiter was a contractor. - Recruiter did not offer information on the interview process and timeline. When asked the recruiter repeated previous information that did not add any clarity to the interview process. Overall not a great experience but it could have been an off day for this recruiter.

Interview
The hiring manager initially reached out to me for a zoom interview. It went seemingly pleasant and resulted with my information being passed along the process. I was assured that I'd hear news within a week, that was several months ago. Completely ghosted. If your interview goes well, I wouldn't put much faith in them until the offer is in hand. Well wishes.
