I applied online. I interviewed at Paychex (Saint Petersburg, FL) in Jun 2017
Interview
Very detailed interview but shows they are looking for qualified candidates. Just be sure to be yourself and learn as much about the company and the culture as you can!

I applied online. I interviewed at Paychex (Sacramento, CA) in Apr 2020
Interview
Field day; chat eithanagement. Interview with the DM. I did a ride along nothing happen. It was just a boring day on a sales call. They had me go back to the office to chat. Nothing was exciting.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex (Novi, MI) in Oct 2019
Interview
I applied after speaking with a recruiter who reached out to me and ended up doing two in person interviews with two different district sales managers. The first interview was scheduled for 1:00 and the manager didn’t come out to greet me until 1:30. Didn’t hear back at all for roughly four weeks.
Second interview was with a different sales manager who was hands down the most rude person I have ever interviewed with. Insinuated I was stupid, immature and tried to imply that I did nothing to prepare. Answered questions I asked with back handed responses and was very condescending. Before asking most questions she would say, “your experience probably won’t tie into this,” despite having previous sales experience.
Overall this company provided the most drawn out, unorganized, and terrible experiences I’ve ever had while interviewing with a company. I’d recommend anyone that applies here to keep looking elsewhere as well as you’ll probably be left in the dark for weeks at a time before hearing back on next steps.
