I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rivian in Oct 2021
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and we connected to set up an initial interview. I was told it was going to be a 45 min phone interview but they ended up changing it to an hour and 45 min video call. A couple hours before that interview was scheduled, they rescheduled the interview with an unclear email. I was a bit taken aback, but I passed that interview and went onto the "second and final round". They switched recruiters on me during this process who I was assured had many years of experience and that I'd be in good hands. The second recruiter was late to our call and was aloof during our conversation. They told me that they scheduled my interviews out of order and that I'd have to do 3 rounds in total. Got ghosted after this round, even after I followed up.
Overall, poor scheduling and poor communication on the recruiters' part. Don't know if I just got unlucky or they treat all their candidates like this, but really poor form coming from a company that just IPO'd. Would not recommend.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Rivian (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2021
Interview
The recruiter of this company sent an email to set up a phone call interview, so I scheduled one. I wanted to know about this opportunity available from this unicorn. However, it ended up negative. Probably recruiter does have any knowledge about tech, but that is not an excuse. The person with who I had a conversation just denies people who have not used it. She denied me because I use C# at my current work. I did not know what to say after I heard her responses.

Most terrible experience ever, was asked two sum question for only 10 mins in the 45 mins interview and end earilier and rejected without any reason. Wasted more than 2 hours time for talking to hr, recruiter, hms, then only actually for 10 mins before getting rejected.....
