Situational questions on leadership, competence, and previous job employments. One on one via zoom meeting. Ended the interview with a case study asking how brand partners should be encouraged to apply more promotions to their products.

Interview
Two interviews with line manager and regional md of Singapore, Ian ho.
Ian ho is incredibly stuck up as an interviewer and as an individual. Our interview ended in 30min as I lost interest in the company as a whole with that leadership personality.
Asked him what was the largest reason for turnover for the role and in the business: “lack of work life balance” was the answer with a smile on his face. “We aim to be competitive no matter what” “we look for consultants because they can live without work life balance”.
He then asked why I was so concerned about work life balance and high turnover and I gave valid reasons behind the loss of company culture, mentor ship opportunities, and salary and effort misbalance and he simply nodded and chose not to refute any of these claims. Speaks a lot about the company culture.
Ended up getting rejected: with one reason being that I “falsely” claimed I had an offer before from the company last year; they were extremely picky that I only had a verbal offer not an official contract. (The verbal offer only existed because HR insisted that i needed to agree to the package before it is converted to an official contract)

Interview
Recruiter is efficient and follows up closely. However the interviewer comes across as unprofessional and pushy. An interview should be a two way street, interviewee is as much assessing the interviewer as well. Shopee management comes across as young, and they would need more leadership training & experience to be able to attract better talents
