I applied to TeleTech online and they immediately gave me an "appointment" date and time after I was finished with the application. I went in for my "appointment" which consisted of filling out more paperwork as if I had never applied in the first place, then taking a few 20-30 minute competency tests which were relatively simple. After this I spoke shortly with one of the HR representatives there and told me when the next "class" was. I assumed by class she meant training so I was excited because I had thought I already had the job. I go in for the "class" which consisted of a short tour of the facility, a short meeting in which they divulge to you how hard and annoying your job is going to be, this is when I found out that I would be making over $1/hr less than what the online application said was the minimum I would be paid. Your pay depends on your random placement in one of the many different companies that they have under one roof, which is never explained to you before you sign all of the paperwork. We then went into the main office and sat there while the 10 or 15 of us is individually got interviewed slowly. And then after the interview, they have you sit down at a computer and sign up for a background check and drug test. At no point were any of the main negative points made aware until it was too late.
