I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Fremont, CA) in Dec 2012
Interview
Originally, I applied as a cashier but I ended up getting a call asking if I was interested in being a barista at the starbucks that they had at the store. During the interview, there was about 12 other people and when I came back after the first interview, I only saw two other people left. Overall, I thought the interview process was fairly easy.

Question 1
What was a mistake that you have made in the past that you had to fix?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Rosemont, IL) in Mar 2013
Interview
Two interviews, the first by telephone & the second face to face with Executive Team Lead. The questions were pretty much the same on both. I thought the way the questions were read to me (instead of through normal conversation) was off-putting. It seemed cold & that they really weren't trying to get to know who I was. The phone interview was about 30 minutes & the face to face one was about 11/2 hours. After the face to face interview was finished, the ETL (Exec. Team Lead) went to consult with HR, then returned 10 min. later to tell me I would be called in about 7-10 days with an answer. 5 days later, I received an email that I was not selected.

Question 1
Describe a situation in a past job that you dealt with a difficult problem and made the company look good?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Novato, CA) in Mar 2013
Interview
I applied online for the sales team member position but was offered this one instead. I had an interview with a Starbucks Team Member and she asked me about my hours, why I wanted to work at Target, and my strengths/weaknesses. Next she asked me a few "tell me about a time" questions like a time you worked well in a group and a time you went above and beyond for a customer. After I answered the questions she told me she liked me and wanted me to talk to her boss which I think was the manager (not sure) but before the second interview had me watch a video about Target and had me answer some questions about customer service where you were given a situation and had to pick the best and worse response to the situation. The second interview was short. She just asked me about my hours, why I wanted to work at target, and why a supervisor/teacher would say my strengths and weaknesses were.
After the interviews I was given a conditional job offer, meaning that if I passed the drug test and background check, I would get the job.
