I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Target (Tallahassee, FL) in Sep 2015
Interview
I gave them my resume at a Career Fair and was contacted a day later by phone for the interview and sent a follow-up email as a reminder. I emailed them with a few questions and they got back with me very quickly. The interview process itself was fine. I felt well prepared, and did some research on Target before going into my interview. I was interviewed by two people and they wanted my answers structured. Use STAR method if you're aware of it. Following my interview I was informed that I would be receiving a call for a second interview. Later that afternoon I received a call apologizing for the mistake but there was also an assessment I'd have to take. I received the assessment via email to complete. I'd have to complete and pass the assessment for them to continue on with my second interview. I did terrible on the math section,it's similar to the SAT math part which has never been my forte. I didn't get the call for the second interview but it was a great learning experience! It isn't hard, it's just not my strength, you'll honestly be fine!

Question 1
How have I demonstrated leadership in a group setting?
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (New Brunswick, NJ) in Sep 2015
Interview
It was all situation-based questions. They specifically said to use the STAR method when you answer their questions. So, you had to explain what your actions were (using the word "I" instead of "we") and the result of your actions in the situation. I think the hardest part was really having enough situations where YOU specifically took action and the result from your actions.

Question 1
Think of a time when you used effective communication with your boss or employee. Think of a time when you made a mistake and how did you go about fixing that mistake.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Mechanicsburg, PA) in Apr 2011
Interview
Attend the career fair or job fair and look for the Target recruiters. They will begin assessing you from the minute you begin to interact. Have an impressive resume with leadership handy. Know what you want, don't approach asking what they have to offer. Do your homework, this is basically the first screening! If they believe there is potential they will invite you to the information session. Attend the information session, it's imperative to get more one on one time and make a more lasting impression. From the information session select candidates will be invited to the on campus interview. Passing candidates will then move on to interview with the District manager.
