Interview
I applied 3 days ago online and got a call yesterday asking if I could come in for an interview today. I haven't heard back yet as I only just finished the interview but the interviewer and staff were very friendly. She said she'll get in touch in the next 3 days.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tesco (Dunfermline, Escocia) in Oct 2016
Interview
Group interview. Questions were not directly asked to anyone, but to the group as a whole. 4 managers sitting at the back scoring you on your answers, while the people manager was asking them.
Also had to do a group exercise - build a 6ft tall tower from paper and sellotape. This is to demonstrate teamwork, so make sure you speak up.
The group was then split into 2, one group went to the checkouts and we had to offer to pack customers bags. The other group went to the shelfs and had to move products to the front and get rid of cardboard.

Question 1
What did you do for a customer that you normally wouldn't do?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tesco (Tiverton, South West England, England) in Jun 2014
Interview
You firstly fill out an online questionnaire, this is reasonably difficult for people without prior knowledge of retail industry or for first time employees. It then says if you have been successful or not, if you have they should ring you back with in a week or two, I would advice to ring them after a couple of days (asking if theres any update on the application) and to keep on ringing them every few days/ week, this is because they often don't get back to you in my experience. I was then given an interview where I answered a couple of questions and was told they hire randomly and on your questionnaire score.
