I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tesco (Leeds, England) in Feb 2011
Interview
group interview They didn't advertise for the job that I managed to get there. They never advertise for part time jobs and only the manager jobs are online. Go to the customer services in the store and hand in a CV. I got an application from a career fair and also handed that in. So ask for an application and if they don't have one just give in a CV but make clear what hours you can work on your CV. Hope this helps and Tescos isn't minimum wage and quite good pay for my age!
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Tesco in Jan 2015
Interview
Filled in an application from online. Got a phone call a couple of days later asking me to go in for an interview in the store. Was then interviewed by manager and assistant manager. Felt more like a terror investigation than an interview. Questions were nothing like I had expected and quite difficult to answer even though I had appropriate experience. Would of thought I was going for a manager position, not checkout assistant. Both interviewers were friendly but did not make me feel comfortable and relaxed when answering questions.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tesco (Gatwick, England) in Jun 2014
Interview
Quite relaxed, they just went through my CV and why I think I would have been good at the role. I dressed formally (as you would for any interview really). After we were selected (post-interview), we had an introductory day which was very long and a bit dull but had to be done! This was simply about their core values as a company, our uniforms etc.
