It was a group interview which I didn't know until I got there. There were just four of us and two really nice managers doing the interview. Two questions were asked to the group and we answered when we wanted to. We were then taken down to the tills for about 10 minutes just to see how we interacted with customers. This bit was slightly awkward but you get through it. We then had individual conversations with the managers about our availability and a general chat about ourselves. First stage a telephone interview with my line manager to understand what I am capable of, what the role is and what would be required from me.
Second stage a four way interview meeting people from different departments to understand my experience and skills.

Starting salary 18,000 per annum. Interview is one to one with the store manager, there was a work based ‘twist’ whereby if the interview was successful you are invited to do a shift to get a feel and also to see where you are in your training.
