I applied online. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Iowa City, IA)
Interview
Very short. Was not very professional. Supervisor seemed unorganized. Was asked the basic interview questions. Info about me and my experience in childcare. I pretty much knew I was hired because the supervisor was so desperate for employees but it took a long time to get all the new hire paperwork done .
I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Port Orange, FL) in Jan 2016
Interview
Very simple and relatively quick. The process was started by an in-person inquiry for the need. The initial contact was the branch CEO. The second and final contact was the Wellness Director. The Wellness Director finished the application and interview process.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Brooklyn, NY) in Aug 2016
Interview
I called the YMCA explaining I was a skilled lifeguard. Two days later they called back asking me for an interview. When I arrived had to do a back ground check and bring in a resume; followed by a 20 length swim test to test my skills.
