I applied through college or university. I interviewed at US Air Force
Interview
Members enter the Air Force based upon completion of an appropriate military commissioning source, either Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC), the Air Force Academy or Officer Training School and you must meet qualifications based on citizenship, physical fitness, and aptitude tests to be accepted into those programs. Once you are in the military you do not interview in the traditional sense for jobs but are assigned based on your career field and rank by the career field assignments managers.

Question 1
There are some positions that you will be asked to interview for before being matched to the position. In those cases it is generally based on how well the hiring authority (usually a senior military officer) likes you personally and if they feel that you fit their style of leadership.
I applied through college or university. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at US Air Force
Interview
AFROTC is training to become an officer throughout undergraduate school. There is a summer training (Field Training) evaluation process, sort of like Boot Camp. A lot of yelling to intentionally induce stress and see how people react under pressure. Hold jobs in ROTC throughout undergrad, and are evaluated on your performance.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at US Air Force (Little Rock, AR) in Aug 2010
Interview
Basic training, 8 weeks first, then more technical training. Training will be constant part of career. Lots of say on where you go, overseas or stateside.
