If you've never committed a federal crime and you have a GED, you can join the US Army. Basic training is basically the interview process. Not that difficult, but if your motivations for joining the Army are superficial, you probably won't make it.

Easy and fast. as long as your healthy, able to perform, able to fire a weapon, able to deal with BS and yelling and obeying orders you should be good. you go to meps get a job and from there then you go to basic the ait a.k.a school and the go to work.

Interview
Had to meet certain requirements. Required to take ASVAB test and meet the minimal requirements. Have to Graduate High School or obtain a GED. Must be able to pass a drug tests and local background check. Must also be able to pass the Medical Examination. If you have tattoos it must not be offensive to anyone.
