Basic training and AIT was not easy. Be in shape physically and mentally. Do not (I repeat Do Not) become the crybaby or the soldier who thinks their parents can help them. It builds character, integrity, loyalty, and a host of other qualities that most people these days seem to lack.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at US Army (Columbus, GA) in May 2010
Interview
There is no interviewing in the Army you are given a job then you either succeed or fail based on your merrits. It is just the way the Army works. They would see more success if they actually made people start interviewing for the job.
