Once you've completed the exam, see the military doctors and pass physical, then you go see a career counselor to select your MOS. Infantry is the backbone of the Army for the most part, however it translates poorly in the civilian world. Don't let that stop you from picking this MOS, because you will gain countless soft skills that you will be very valuable to the civilian sector once you get out.
