I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uline (Burnaby, BC) in Feb 2023
Interview
I applied via a job portal, I was contacted within a few days to complete a series of questionnaires including a psych profile. I was then asked for an in-person interview at the Burnaby office - the interview was in fact a Teams call with a member of the HR team based in Calgary.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The intent of the in-person interview was to complete two timed tests which Uline has created internally and required for all positions. These two tests are designed to see how quickly and accurately you can compare a series of numbers. As Uline has tens of thousands (or more) of products, fulfilling orders based on their internal SKU's - and order/fullfilling products are core to the business, so the test makes some sense.
In-person interview that ended up being a zoom interview at their office lol. Sales office was unsettlingly quiet and static. Numerous assessments were administered followed by the zoom interview with HR. Overall tense environment.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Uline (New York, NY)
Interview
I didn't apply. They were recruiting me. The interview process was as disorganized as their company. I had multiple phone interviews after they pulled the no call no show on my first interview. No in person or no video interview. I have never in my life had a company not call when they say they will. Reading the reviews about the company it was definitely a blessing. The Uihleins don't have the greatest name out in the industry currently. You see all the negative reviews saying to run. You definitely should run as fast as you can when the Uline people come wasting your time.
