I applied online. I interviewed at Verizon (Lakeland, FL) in Oct 2020
Interview
Easy, friendly and fast paced process.
Fist step: 1-1 1/2 hour assessment after application. Basic behavioral questions. I.e.: Most likely to do this, less likely to do that, what would you do in this situation, etc.
Second step: Included a text to schedule phone interview. Recieved phone interview on scheduled date and time. You'll receive a call from a recruiter. I revieved mine a week later. He confirmed background info and was pleasant to speak with. He confirmed my interest in the job and what the job requires on my end (being remote you have more stipulations that must be followed). Advised I would hear back (via text/email) from a hiring manager to schedule the interview within 48 hours. Third step: Recieved text about scheduling interview that evening, scheduled the interview and had it the following week. Interview was video chat (COVID) supervisor asked work history, 6 behavioral questions, and then moved on with a role play scenario. Basically, it's how you would address a customer with such and such problem. Very simple, express empathy and be very polite. Finished that, supervisor said I'd recieved one of three calls within 48 hours. Yay, nay, need more time to decide.
Fourth step: Recieved call next morning and got offered the job. Filled out prehire paperwork and start on Nov 15! :)
Good luck to all who apply.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Explain a time when you finished your work and your supervisor was unavailable to assign more work. What did you do with that free time?
After an online test there will be face to face interview with STAR and Bar format. Currently interviews are being done virtually. You will interview with a current supervisor. Normally you will have two interviews before being offered the position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
When was a time you had a conflict with a co-worker and how did you resolve it.
Horrible communication. Two months and two interviews later and I still have not heard anything regarding my status. Attempted communication to the recruiter/hiring manager is a joke. Despite being told in both interviews that I was an ideal candidate AND that I was being recommended for hire, I still have not heard anything. If you getting a job is time sensitive, STAY AWAY.
