I applied online. I interviewed at Verizon in Mar 2011
Interview
The first interview was over a phone call that took about 30 min. It was very basic standard work habit questions.
The second phone interview was about a week later and last an additional 30 min. it was a different person but much of the same questions.
The third interview was an in person interview with a variety of tests. Immediately upon arrival I was directed to a cubical with a computer that went through skills and interactive situation tests. After that was completed I then had to answer a number of personality and psychological questions. When I was completed I had about a 20-30 min. wait. I then spoke with another person saying I had passed the tests and he could now begin the interview. During this processes he played recorded calls of customers and would ask about how I would handle each issue. After he was completed I spoke with another individual about my past work experiences. Following that I was given a tour of the building. The whole process took about 4 hours.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Verizon
Interview
I was previously employ for Worldcom who is merged with MCI, and then acquired by Verizon. so i don't really have interview experience with Verizon directly. But interview with WorldCom is very straight forward, just 1 time, and then pass thru.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Murfreesboro, TN) in May 2013
Interview
First interview was by phone. Touched on work history and a couple of behavioral questions. Interviewer was pleasant. Advanced to next step.
Second step was a assessment test (customer svc skills, multi-tasking & typing skills). Advanced to next step.
Second phone interview, again confirmed work history and answered a lot of customer svc behavioral questions. This interviewer was pleasant but spoke very fast. Advanced to final interview.
This one will be face to face and the hardest. I expect to answer a ton of questions and if they like what I say then the next step will be a background check. After I pass that is when they will make me the offer.
I hope this helps someone & wish me luck!
