I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Verizon (New York, NY) in May 2009
Interview
Very easy process, and very organized, thorough and detailed. Talked a lot about past career experiences, previous role, what I liked, what I didn't like, why I wanted to make a move. They were very flexible, and were considerate of my work schedule, as I was employed throughout my interview process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Bring a 30-60-90 business plan, and a previous presentation to show them. Not always needed, but it's impactful.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Prescott Valley, AZ) in Nov 2008
Interview
Interview process wasn't too lengthy. I went through two phone interviews, and one face to face interview. Everything is done through HR, and final interview is in the store. Corporate recruiter was professional, but not real personality. Exisiting experience in customer service did give me an edge on negotiating my salary. Store manager was very nice and professional. Store interview was more about me as a team member in previous positions.

Question 1
All interviews are in STAR format. Situation Task Action Results. Always good to know if you are wanting a job with Verizon Wireless. Most difficult question was based on migrating an upset customer with a few choices for solution and ending on a good note.
