I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Verizon in Jan 2010
Interview
Had an on-campus interview. It was professional and very exciting. Seemed like a great opportunity. The person with whom I interviewed was also excited and personable. They presented a very positive description of the opportunity, and I was excited about the job. Unfortunately, they were not very specific about the job that I was going to have until after I accepted the opportunity. It appeared that they were assigned the duty of interviewing without really having the authority to complete the hiring process. Looking back, I now realize that they appeared to be satisfying a requirement that was assigned to them without really being empowered to place me in a position for future success. Knowing what I know now, I would have never accepted the position without a more definitive commitment from the company.

Question 1
Tell me about your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Mesa, AZ) in Apr 2012
Interview
I was called by hr manager and they gave me an appointment for phone interview that consists of detailed info on what I did in my last two previous jobs, scenario type questions and background check questions. Second phone interview and the final interview has similar questions. I failed the final interview as I was too confident and didn't dress very professionally. They asked me to sell any random thing to the interviewer and I feel I didn't do "overcoming objection"part right. I made these two improvements and got hired by at&t.

I was asked to pick any product and they did sales role play on that.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Verizon (Coshocton, OH) in Aug 2010
Interview
Very prompt and professional. Starts with an online application, a phone screen from HR, then a face to face. Offer is made within one week of interview. Headcount is a priority in retail channel so there is little delay in moving on a candidate and expectations are realisticly set.
