The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Verizon (Allentown, PA) in Dec 2010
Interview
It starts with a phone interview. If you pass that, you will interview in person. Mine was with 2 people from HR. they didn't ask anything out of the ordinary. Past experience, your attitude and thoughts on selling strategies, explanation of they do things at version, etc... Nothing too difficult or tricky.

Question 1
Tell us a time when you had a good sales experience?
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Verizon in Apr 2011
Interview
Sent in an application online and received a phone call the next day requesting a phone screening for the following day. After the phone screening, I was told to go to Verizon to take an assessment.
Personal questions that you strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree, and strongly disagree with. Ex. I do not mind working overtime or at night OR I enjoy competing for financial gain (there were about 50 of these scenarios)
The assessment consisted of a typing test (listen to sentences said over headphones and type and reading the sentence from the screen and rewrite the sentence to test how fast you type as well as accuracy.)
There was a section that had a grid of about 25 different numbers- a number would pop up on the screen and you would have to find the number in the grid, assuming it was in the grid.
Another section had to do with logic: there was a man fishing and there were a set of instructions as to which fish can be caught with which bait and during which type of weather. Ex. Which fish can be caught with only cheese and during rainy, but warm weather?
The multitasking section had to do with answering "phone calls" and transferring said phone calls over to the correct department, be it sales and customer service, technical support and billing, billing and customer service, customer service and billing (sometimes the lines were busy) WHILE you are comparing sets of numbers, Ex. comparing whether or not 884432 next to 884423. They expect you to do both of these things at the same time. What I did was compare numbers while I was listening to the phone call.
After all of this, I was told I passed the assessment and had to watch a video. Nothing of the video was explained to me, but all the video showed was a screen-by-screen shot of actual customer service representatives helping customers.
After this, I was told that I would be receiving a phone call the next day for another phone interview.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
(Initial phone interview) What would you do if you were unaware that a policy had been changed by management?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Boston, MA) in Apr 2011
Interview
I applied online for the RLDP program. Two days later I was emailed and requested to sign up for a time for a 45 minute telephone interview. The interviewer was very professional and established a great rapport at the begining of the interview. It was evident that both of us had done our homework, he was well versed with my resume and I was well versed in the position. I was scheduled for my second interview after the interview was over with a district manager. I will have that next week. I am really looking forward to it as it is a great opportunity. The questions were behavioral based and the interview was incredibly informative.
