I applied in-person. I interviewed at Verizon in Dec 2023
Interview
Very slow process for hiring, all the interviews have a MOP, difficult to handle it, every one should be according to the department needs. They would need to change the process to ask what they really need and also want they could offer to help
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Verizon (Irving, TX) in Mar 2025
Interview
I was contacted by a Verizon recruiter for a remote position and scheduled a 30-minute phone interview. The conversation went smoothly, and the recruiter even mentioned moving me to the next step. However, things took a turn when they revealed that, although the role is remote, Verizon conducts home check-ins.
This was a major red flag for me. A remote position should not require employees to allow company representatives into their homes. This felt like an invasion of privacy and completely changed my perception of the role. Employers should trust their employees to maintain professionalism without unnecessary oversight. Home visits blur the line between work and personal life, creating an uncomfortable dynamic.
I was seriously uncomfortable after hearing this and ultimately decided this role wasn’t the right fit for me. If privacy and work-life balance matter to you, this is something to seriously consider before moving forward.
