I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Verizon
Interview
The process will require that you take two test, a written examination which includes sentence structure and math, a lantoplogy one on networking so it is good to have CCNA knowledge here and A+ knowledge. You are required to pass two test here. There is then a structured interview after that with management and supervisors. You are then required to pass a drug test and background investigation with your college credentials and work history. Followed by another 14 weeks of training upon accepting the offer for the job which includes audio, voice and video services of FiOS. If you do not pass the testing, you have no job though. So you better be knowledgeable, pay attention and be the type to hit the ground running. You also need to have a pretty clean background and be honest on your educational background too. Honestly the process is meant to pick out the best possible candidates similar to the examinations you see for Police. This is a new standard for the company which should have been implemented a long time ago to insecure the best candidates were hired prior to unions getting involved to protect those who are not actually qualified.

Question 1
What would you do if a supervisor or manager was not present and you had to make a decision?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Baltimore, MD) in Jan 2013
Interview
You start off filling out just a simple employment questionnaire on their website. General questions about your employment history were asked in this step, nothing too detailed. Once your basic credentials were approved, you were emailed an actual application to fill out on their site to submit along with your resume. After that, if your application/resume meets their requirements, you are to fill out another questionnaire that gathers more knowledge about your integrity as a person and your aptitude in general. Once that is completed and accepted, you are then sent to a testing session at a local site, usually a hotel. If you pass the testing, you are set up for an interview, only after you pass a satisfactory drug screening analysis. The interview process is a two step process depending on the time the company has to hire their new employees. If the company is pressed for hiring time, they will only interview you once and if they like you, you will be offered a position.

Question 1
How do you get a customer to trust you when every other representative has said the same thing and you don't know how to fix their problem?
The interview included standard questions related to the position and applicable skill sets. I interviewed separately with the hiring manager and a potential peer.
