I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walmart (Bentonville, AR) in Jan 2011
Interview
I got the feeling management wanted to see how well you would work with others. It seemed to be more of will they work well on this team or that team. Yes they did want to make sure you could perform the job you were interviewing for but once they realized you were smart enough to handle that they really wanted to dig into your personality.
I went through a series of interviews and it was an all day process. I was exhausted by the end of the day and again I think that was intentional. As a stress test of sorts. Overall their interview process was admirable. I'm not sure if every department or group goes through a similar process.

I have only have a phone screener and it was a 15 minute call asking about my experience and expectations of the job. It was a very easy call but now waiting to hear if I am selected for an interview person interview.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Walmart (Bengaluru) in Jul 2025
Interview
Interviewed for a PM3 role with omnichannel team for markets other than US. Was told there could be 4-5 rounds. Each would be taken by 1 level up. Each round will have at least 1 open-ended product case study. Resume-based discussions are very limited (max 10-15 mins of discussions). The interviewers are quite engaged throughout the case; it's not really a one-way chat. The recruiter was also nice, they were prompt and shared rather useful information. I would say, though, the performance bar is high, which is fair for a Fortune 1 company.

Q: Assume you are the PM for Google Maps India, your VP is asking what the roadmap looks like, and what are the top 3 features in the pipeline? What would be the steps I would take to define those? Eventually, we will go into detail about the exact features.
