I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Greece, NY) in Sep 2011
Interview
Applied for work online. Got a call back from store recruiter 3 days after submitting for Full Time overnight. Went through interview with a few ice breakers (QR code on my resume, pointing to my Talent Exchange profile, and a joke about how I worked at the Strong Museum Wegmans exhibit as a kid), and started the interview on a good note. The recruiter gave me an offer, which I accepted. The recruiter emailed a link to the background check information page. Basically, that asked for schools, addresses covering 10 years, convictions, etc. The entire verification process took roughly a week and a half. After following up, I received another link to new hire paperwork (direct deposit, I-9 verification, uniform ordering, etc.) and I was scheduled for orientation.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Malvern, PA) in Aug 2012
Interview
I went in for an interview with three women, one a recruiting manager, one a bakery manager, and the third a management trainee who was sitting in on the interview. All three were pleasant and talkative, and the hour-long interview went by quite quickly. We were all quick to laugh and tell stories, though the recruiting manager seemed less likely to indulge in the fun (as might be expected given that she probably had a whole day full of interviews ahead of her). Mostly a casual conversation, though the number of questions was intimidating.

Question 1
The company asks you which of the 5 core values of Wegman's you best represent (I can't be arsed to remember them, but you can find them on the site). Your answer will most certainly be corny, but it's not too hard to come up with something on the spot about why you might embody "respect" or "diligence" or whatever.

Interview
Received email for a phone interview which was a general screening that lasted 30 minutes and was asked for an on site interview with HR and district pharmacy manager. Arrived on time and waited 30 mins past the scheduled time. All situational questions were read off from a script by both people. Was told they will get back 2 me in 3 weeks. Called the office 3 weeks later and was told a decision was not made and may take an additional 2 weeks. I called on the 5th week and left a message for the HR personnel but didn't hear back. Called the sixth week and left another message and again never heard back. Finally received the rejection letter in the mail a few days later. They were very unprofessional in how they treat applicants, especially a company with a top reputation!
