I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets
Interview
Although I missed their calls several times, Wegmans was persistant and helpful with trying to get me in to interview. When I arrived, I waited with another interviewee for a short while before one of the bakery managers came. We interviewed in the cafe seating area, which leant a very laid-back atmosphere to the whole thing. This was great, because I was able to really show off my attitude and charm.

Telephone interview several days after posting application online; set up face to face interview at the end of telephone interview for several days away. First face to face interview was with Human Resources Representative and lasted about 30 minutes. No unexpected questions as I learned Wegmans values points prior to the first interview. Second face to face occurred a few days later with a Chef. Same basic questions followed by food related questions. Duration of interview was about 40 minutes.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Allentown, PA) in Apr 2008
Interview
The process of getting a job at wegmans was pretty stress free. You can initially fill out an online application through their website careers portal. After filling out the application, someone will initially contact you via phone and ask you a few simple questions such as when you would be willing to work, what department, what your work background is. They are not looking to grill you during this phone interview, think of it just as confirming the information on your resume, they want to "HEAR IT". After this, they will say thank you and schedule an in store interview. This is probably even easier. They ask simple "why you want this job" stuff like that. Just be truthful, if you have a family to support, SAY THAT! they will definitely understand. good luck!
